Locally he has worked at Panzur, and Nic L Inn, where he was the opening Executive Chef, and he has traveled around the globe seeking great food experiences that you will undoubtedly taste and feel in your experience at Essie’s”.

Brandon Becomes the Celebrity Chef Cook off Champion at the Jerk Festival

At the 5th Annual Jerk Festival, Celebrity Chef Brandon Walker shows off his culinary genius at the Celebrity Chef Cook Off competition. Brandon competed against Chef Eddie G where  both chefs were presented with a mystery basket with beef kidneys, chocolate cookies, kale, and a mystery ingredient of coconut donuts. Both chefs were also provided with pantry ingredients to make there dishes. To no avail Chef Brandon Walker came out victorious with his Jerk Beef Kidney, and coconut-kale potato stew.

Brandon helped open MidTown – a new restaurant in Poughkeepsie.

Brandon wins Rewrapped: “Ritzy Business” on The Food Network!

Rewrapped: “Ritzy Business” aired on November 29th

Ritzy Business

As always, the first round challenged the contestants to recreate an iconic snack – in this case Ritz Bits with Cheese. Each chef came up with their own recipe to make the best recreation of the snack. Brandon finished round one in second place, and one competitor was eliminated.

The second and final round is called the “Innovate Round” and asks the contestants to use the main ingredient – Ritz Bits with Cheese – to create a dish of their own.  Judging was based on taste, appearance and creativity.

Brandon’s Ritz Bits Carbonara made use of the crackers as his pasta flour, and the cheese in his sauce – impressing the judges with a beautiful dish and winning the day!
